Open Applications
Our online application is now open and will be available for submission. Your application, transcripts and two letters of recommendation (sent directly from professor/job supervisor) must be submitted to be considered complete. Applications that are incomplete will not be considered. Deadline for applications is April 30, 2024.
Selection Notification
Successful candidates will be notified via telephone, or e-mail within a week of receiving the completed application. Wait-listed candidates and applicants who are not selected will be notified at this time as well.
Acceptance Deadline
Selected applicants must formally accept the offer to participate in the RIMS Coral Reef Research Internship by email within a week of receiving the notification of acceptance. Upon acceptance, an intern handbook and information packet will be sent to you to help prepare for the program.
Full Payment Required
Payment is due at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the internship session. Failure to complete payment will lead to loss of your spot, which may then be opened up and offered to another candidate.
Payments should be made to our stateside reservations office.
Please contact Amber Warren. She is the Reservation Coordinator for RIMS and will handle all payment transactions. She can also assist with flight arrangements and ensure that you get the cheapest and most direct flight to the island.
